Today we travelled from Woodstock, VA to Raphine, VA via Luray, VA and completed the second part of our trip along Skyline Drive.

We almost had a beary close encounter first thing this morning when a large black bear ran across the road in front of the car as we travelled over Edinburgh Gap between Woodstock and Luray – thankfully I saw it dart out from the side of the road and was able to stop just in time. (Mind you, it had no intention of changing direction and I’m very glad I didn’t have to deal with a large injured bear). Unfortunately Ron didn’t have his GoPro running at the time …

By comparison the rest of our day was uneventful …
